Fast forward the Sex Scenes for a light read
This lady writes a great light story but gosh she is fond of her sex scenes (there are entire chapters dedicated to them)-she really had thought them out - Im not too prudish but I do fast forward through them and enjoy the rest of her story telling - Im working my through in sequence.

Great story
Intriguing great to have the prequel insight. Narration was a little animated at times. Recommend to others

great story
Simon Prebble is a great orator and gave this tale importance and credulity. there is enough twists to keep you listening. the intimate scenes are err very focused lol but seem like they were added as an after thought as they are not required for the fulfillment of the story. worth the listen.

A different twist to a love story
I enjoyed the fact that this didn’t follow the usual romance trajectory of boy meets, girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl fall out, boy and girl reconcile. I liked the strength given to the female heroine in this story. I’m not sure about a male narrator and hot love scenes, however.

Interesting background to the Cynster family.
Set in the generation before the Bar Cynster this story sets up the family antecedents. This is the story of Sebastian, fifth Duke of St. Ives and French Countess Helena. Simon Prebble reads with his characteristic liveliness and brings the power struggle between members of two old and wealthy families to a gripping realization. It is a story of duplicity and secrecy that twists and turns holding the audience in suspense to the end. An enjoyable listen.

So boring
No real story line, just one long drawn out boring seduction. Much rather listen to / read Mary Kingswood. At least she had story lines
