About this listen

Book two of the Giants Trilogy follows Thomas as a much older man now serving as the Land's Forest Ward and two of his grandchildren (17 year old Tommy and 13 year old Rose). Tommy is one of three prodigals who have either given up on their hopes and dreams, had them crushed by events or have attempted to hide from their responsibilities. Each are overcome by sudden and terrible events that stem from a great menace threatening the land and all the giants have created in a thousand years. They and an aging hero are caught up in this struggle for the survival. A sudden tragic change shocks Tommy out of his complacent and distracted life. Unprepared, they are placed on a dangerous course against impossible odds. They must set their personal struggles aside, for they are the land's only true hope. Like book one, there is adventure, excitement, danger, and of course there are giants.
