Story of Maverick and Cooper
This is the third book in the On The Track series. It’s a crush to friends to lovers romance about Maverick, the pro racer and Cooper, the sunshiny animal lover with a heart of gold.
Cooper has a bit of a crush on Maverick, the more they get to know each other, the more he likes him but he knows nothing can happen because Maverick is straight. Well that is what he assumes. What he doesn’t know is that Maverick is bisexual, but not out obvs, and is crushing hard on Copper too. So cute!!!!
Maverick is drawn to Cooper and pretty much does anything to be close to him. When things finally progress, they start dating in secret.
Cooper has had some bad relationships in the past which has made him feel less than.
All is going well, until it doesn’t and Cooper ends things with Maverick because it’s just too hard to not be acknowledged as his boyfriend. This kind of broke my heart for them both but I was so proud of Cooper for finally seeing what he is worth and he deserves everything.
Don’t worry, they get their HEA and I absolutely loved the epilogue. This is a great book, low angst and sweet, well worth the read. I’m super interested in who the fourth book will be about. Can’t wait to see.
I’ve read all of Nicole’s books now and I have loved all of them. I read ebooks and listen to audios, so I don’t have physical books, but Nicole is one of those authors, even though most of her books are on kindle unlimited, I buy the ebooks because I know I will reread them over and over again and I want to keep them. It’s gotten to the point that any new books are pre ordered without even knowing what they are about, that is how much I love her writing. I also love that she has audio for all of her books, makes immersive reading a dream.
Liam DiCosimo and Tim Paige’s narration is great, especially Liam with Cooper’s high pitched talking, omg perfect.
One of my fav quotes:
“I’m pretty sure I was addicted to you the second my lips touched yours. Hell, before that. I couldn’t get enough of being in your presence.”
