If you feel like something is missing in your life, or inquisitive about meditation this book is for you.
I have seen the movie, read the The Portal book, and just love The Portal Audiobook. There is something authentic and beautiful when the authors can read part of the their book to you.
Loved it, it took me through a roller coaster of emotions. Touched by so many moments and totally inspired all over again.

A very powerful read that transforms the way you see this world and your purpose on this Planet
I first heard about The Portal on “All In The Mind” podcast by ABC RN (from 20 October, 2019). At the time the podcast’s title “Meditation for the collective good” immediately grabbed my attention, so I just sat and listened. The insightful intro done by Tom and Jacqui themselves made me even more curious... The idea how collective meditation could guide us to an enlightened planet surely sounded very curious to me. Empathy, mindfulness, stillness - all these terms directing us inwards rather than outwards yet inspiring a societal change in communities around us couldn’t have come more timely at that point of my life. So, I got my Audible version of The Portal right after the podcast finished. At the time I had no idea what a great transformative impact it would have on me.
The book takes one to live with and through the stories of six amazing people, who, coming from different walks of life, found their way to inner peace through meditation. Their stories are touching, inspiring, beautifully vulnerable yet uplifting. Make sure you have a pack of handkerchiefs ready... The storyline is built in a way to take you from emotional highs to the analysis of “WHYs” and “WHAT IFs”, pausing and questioning the things in your own life. It touches upon both of your rational and emotional intelligence and leads you to explore the depths of yourself that you may have never experienced before.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who cares about the world around them and seeks answers to the tricky question of “What is the meaning of my life?” I have a feeling that it would open though different yet uniquely precious doors of understanding to anyone who reads it.
Many thanks to the authors for putting together such a great piece of work!
P.S. One of my most favourite parts of the book:
“For whatever reason I am in this body and I am going through this life on this planet. I need to do my best to make a positive impact on the collective consciousness. When you get an opportunity to make the world a better place, you just can’t walk away from it. You have to say: Yes, I’m going to do this, bring it”, Due.

Over complicated
These guys have done an extraordinary thesis in over complicating such a profound and simple process, that the message (of what they were attempting to convey) was completely lost. The complexity and the over dramatic presentation is such that I would not recommend this book at all......
