About this listen
Cassandra Anapour was a child in Afghanistan during the American occupation. Her family fell victim to Taliban savagery and vendettas when they were abandoned during the subsequent withdrawal and evacuation. Maturing into a leadership position and working covertly with the CIA, she united and led insurgent groups in a fight for freedom.
Over the years, it became apparent that victory could not be won through a direct fight against such a well-armed and funded adversary. Fading into the mist and trying to achieve some level of normalcy was the path most took. However, her vow of vengeance never died this slow death.
Years later, after achieving a successful career in the United States as a tech consultant, her unique skillset became valuable to a newly formed hybrid CIA Clandestine Services – FBI Domestic Terror Mitigation Task Force. She was recruited to infiltrate and disrupt a massive attack being planned against critical American infrastructure by insurgent groups who migrated across the Southern Border. Very little was known about the structure of the organizations involved, their specific targets, and the timing of action. Hundreds of millions of lives depended on finding out.
