Publisher's Summary
He's the biggest, baddest, most spider-fearing motherpucker on the ice....
When you're named after the king of the gods, the world expects certain things of you.
Tough? Damn right.
Smart? Don't let the hockey uniform fool you.
Large and in charge? Honey, I'm the biggest, baddest, mother pucking-est machine to ever own the ice. I shoot. I score. In and out of the rink. I don't come early, but I come often, if you know what I mean. And I always leave the ladies wanting more.
Until that chick last night.
I'm no one-thrust wonder, and you're damn right I'm going to prove to her I can do better. But every time I think I'm finally on my way back into her pants, she one-ups and out-balls me.
I should cut my losses, lick my wounds, and walk away.
But Zeus Berger doesn't walk away from anything.
Especially when she's the only woman in the world who might be able to handle me.
The Pilot and the Puck-Up is a stand-alone romantic comedy featuring a hockey player whose ego is the only thing bigger than his shoe size, the most badass woman to ever fly a plane, rubber chockey (don't ask), and no cheating or cliffhangers.

Too brash and crass
I just was not enamoured with this book. The characters were all too much. Too bold, foul mouthed, opinionated, egotistical, etc. I did not really like any of them. The spider thing though, was very funny.

very entertaining
I think I was surprised at how much fun I found this - some very entertaining moments, very well matched pair. might not be for everyone, but I was fine with the language...and Zeus' somehow not ridiculous adoration of Joey. Jason clarke does so well, again, and even Erin mallow wasn't bad for this one ( she usually does this weird dragging of words at the end of sentences, but wasn't so pronounced for this one).

Okay. This was easily the most fun I’ve ever had while reading/listening to a book. Ever. I don’t know how it’s possible that I literally had a smile on my face the entire rime, and I giggled so so much. Did this book have any real substance?? Nope. Did I love it anyway? Hell yeah. It was just fun.
It was light and funny and Joey is probably my favourite heroine maybe ever. She is what I would slap under the definition of bad bitch. She’s ruthless, funny and independent. I’m so tired of the whole “i’m a virgin so i’m fragile” thing; I’ve read a lot of them and for the most part, they’re all fucking ridiculous. It’s like they’ve never even been touched or fingered or gotten off in private and it always makes me roll my eyes. This is why I like joey so much. She’s technically a virgin but there’s no beating around the bush. She self pleasures, like normal! Finally! The only irritating thing about her was how protective she is of her sister. It was a little overboard sometimes.
Let’s talk about Zeus. Holy hell do I love him. He’s a huge teddy bear and I want to give him a big, fat, hug. He’s cocky and arrogant as hell, sooooo funny, and yet, he embarrasses the shit out of himself several times in front of Joey. It’s magical. There’s something so funny about a huge ass man having his ego reduced to the size of a pea all because of a pretty girl. When I say Zeus humiliates himself, I mean it. It’s glorious. Plus, he really is just a big insecure baby who wants to be loved. It’s really adorable. He might be up there with my fave hero’s, too.
This was just really adorable and funny and I needed it. Sometimes it’s nice to take a break from all the hard and heavy shit and read something light hearted, whether the story has substance or not. I’d probably read this a million times over.

Fun, light hearted, OTT humour
The Pilot & the Puck-Up is a very light hearted read/listen. This author is all about OTT humour and characters that are completely ridiculous at times, but she provides a nice break from the more angsty reads. The 2 main characters in this story, Zeuss and Joey, are not at all angsty. I felt zero angst listening to this, but I did smile and laugh a lot at their OTT antics and behaviour.
Joey is the determined and capable pilot, she is beyond protective of her *little* sister, she is one tough customer. She excels in her chosen profession, and she takes NO crap from anyone. Zeuss is the huge, enormous hockey player, who makes a habit of embarrassing himself in Joey's presence. He also has a phobia of spiders, which leads to some funny scenes across the story.
Lots of secondary characters that play a large part in the story - family and friends of Zeuss and Joey. I haven't listened to all of their stories yet, but this would be easily read/listened to as a standalone. Fabulous narration by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon - I recommend listening to this authors books rather than reading, as she has some awesome narrators performing across her books, that do a great job with the OTT humour and making for a really fun listen.

Loved this book
I really love Pippa’s books and her style of writing. This book is funny, lighthearted with some sexiness. Narrators did a fantastic job bringing characters to life. I especially liked the duet narration, so good.

Great fun
This was such a fun book, with the narrative taking part inside the mc heads. Very funny, lots of double entendres, lots of chemistry and sexy times.
