About this listen
'Every time you discover a new Milly book, it’s like finding a pot of gold' Heat
From the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Queen of Wishful Thinking - a gorgeous read full of love, life and laughter.
Marnie Salt has made so many mistakes in her life that she fears she will never get on the right track. But when she ‘meets’ an old lady on a baking chatroom and begins confiding in her, little does she know how her life will change.
Arranging to see each other for lunch, Marnie finds discovers that Lilian is every bit as mad and delightful as she’d hoped – and that she owns a whole village in the Yorkshire Dales, which has been passed down through generations. And when Marnie needs a refuge after a crisis, she ups sticks and heads for Wychwell – a temporary measure, so she thinks.
But soon Marnie finds that Wychwell has claimed her as its own and she is duty bound not to leave. Even if what she has to do makes her as unpopular as a force 12 gale in a confetti factory! But everyone has imperfections, as Marnie comes to realise, and that is not such a bad thing – after all, your flaws are perfect for the heart that is meant to love you.
The Perfectly Imperfect Woman is the heart-warming and hilarious new novel from the queen of feel-good fiction – a novel of family, secrets, love and redemption … and broken hearts mended and made all the stronger for it.

A lot of fun
I loved this book, it was a lot of fun and very down to earth. I think Marnie is a wonderful character and the performance by Colleen Prendergast is brilliant

delightful
A joyful book, where every chapter had a tad bit humour in it, no matter the lightness or darkness of the journey the main character was going through.

Need more conclusions
While I did enjoy this story I would not bother to listen again, which is how I rate my books. The author introduced several threads that went nowhere and where not brought to any conclusions. Maybe they like unanswered questions but I prefer to find out why something happened otherwise why bring it up in the first place.

Really Enjoyed this!
As with every book I have read or listened to, that has been written by this author, I loved the characters and the world Milly creates for them.

The story was so interesting, the narration was great and it kept you on the edge of your seat till the end. Well done Milly Johnson and Colleen Prendergast. I have many of their audiobooks in my library and I love to listen to them over and over. 🤗🤗🤗

the perfectly imperfect book!
Fantastic book and amazing narrator, Colleen Prendergast does Milly Johnson's books so much justice! I'll listen to anything read by Colleen and will read anything written by Milly.

what happened, Milly? this is a shame.....
This is the most disappointing Milly book for so many reasons. firstly, it is at times vulgar to the point of making me feel sick, the choice of language sordid and smutty. What happened to the believable stories of friendship and love you usually write? this one boarders on the ridiculous and Marnie is so pessimistic as to be unlikable for most of the book. will be returning this one.
