About this listen

"Mrs. Cass, we were hoping your son could answer a few questions about the girl who disappeared last night...."

Erika Cass has a perfect family and a perfect life. Until the evening when two detectives show up at her front door.

A high school girl has vanished from Erika's quiet suburban neighborhood. The police suspect the worst - murder. And Erika's teenage son, Liam, was the last person to see the girl alive.

Erika has always sensed something dark and disturbed in her seemingly perfect older child. She wants to believe he's innocent, but as the evidence mounts, she can't deny the truth - Liam may have done the unthinkable.

Now she must ask herself: How far will she go to protect her son?

read the book DONT READ THE REVIEWS. THEY HAVE MINOR SPOILERS.

good story but the cringey lovey dovey romance dialogue was a bit much. "OMG Liam is so hot" 🤮

The Perfect Ending

I loved this story. It had me feeling all sorts of emotions, especially with the different narrators thrown in. This story kept me on my toes and trying to guess the ending.
I felt that the loose ends were tied up very nicely and it had me hoping that this story would never end!
The Epilogue left me feeling so satisfied. This is going to be added to my list of favourite books

Blind Oblivion

Loved the plot. The twists and turn at the end was great.
The narrator was a bit lack lustre and not emotive for a kidnapped victim and emotional mother but it did not denote from the story as it carried itself

American drivel

Ridiculous plot…. To many unbelievable parts which don’t hold together. Excessive twists and turns…. Good idea but just unauthentic..

Perfect listen.

Quite fast paced and very interesting characters. I did guess the twist near the end though. Very cleverly written and narrator was great. I listened an 1.5X and it was perfect.

Predictable, but enjoyable

I love Freida’s novels. However, this one was a little predictable towards the end and overall very slow. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the others.
