It was supposed to be a holiday.... The gripping new psychological thriller from the author of 2020's twistiest debut, One White Lie.
When her husband, Harry, walks out after just six months, Sam has never been in more need of a getaway.
So when her friends Diana and Margaret - newly single themselves - suggest a girls' weekend away, Sam can't accept soon enough.
But then things start to go wrong. Car trouble on the road leaves them stranded. And what's more, it's in the town where he lives.
Sam is sure a big night out can't hurt. After all, it's hardly likely that Harry would show up, right?
And no one could ever expect the night would end in murder....

Good fast paced read
Enjoyed this, found it fairly fast moving & engaging. Felt like there was a fair bit of unnecessary dialogue which made it feel as though it dragged a little towards the end. Didn’t love the Margaret narrator - found the voice a bit dull & annoying at times & I ended up feeding those chapters. Ending also annoyed me a little as it just seemed a bit too perfect for some characters. Good read overall.

Entertaining. The narration was top notch 👌
I have mixed feelings about this book. Whilst it was entertaining, it was predictable. I even guessed the big super twist at the end. I enjoyed the multiple POV. The narrators were the best part of this production. Maybe time for another genre....
