Shame it ended!
What a shame it was a short story. Very well written. Interesting characters. Great performance by the reader. I could listen to her all day. (I’ve listened to the book that follows & it’s just as good.)

It's a Teaser
This is a wonderful 2 chapter audiobook, a prequel to the fantastic "The Perfect Retreat". It's beautifully narrated, sometimes sounding like poetry in motion.
I'm grateful I could listen to it from the free catalogue, making it good value.

For a short story, it was quite interesting with intriguing characters and a lot to offer.

Retraction of earlier grumpy review to some degree
I now think this is part of the “free” catalogue so shouldn’t grizzle about wasting a credit but still disappointed at the abrupt ending
