Publisher's Summary

Journey to the plains of Central Australia in The Pearl Sister, the fourth book in the number one bestselling Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley. A spellbinding story of love and loss, inspired by the mythology of the famous star constellation.

CeCe D’Aplièse has never felt she fitted in anywhere. Following the sudden death of her adoptive father – an elusive billionaire affectionately known to his daughters as Pa Salt – she finds herself at breaking point.

In desperation, CeCe decides to follow the clues to her past left to her by her father:
a black-and-white photograph from 1906 and the name of a female pioneer, Kitty McBride, the daughter of a clergyman who left her rigid life in Scotland to forge a new path in Australia.

On her way to Sydney, CeCe visits the stunning beaches of Krabi, Thailand. There she meets the mysterious Ace, a man as lonely as she is, a man with a secret to hide . . .

When CeCe finally reaches the searing heat of the Red Centre of Australia, something deep within her awakens. Could this wild, vast continent offer CeCe something she never thought possible: a sense of belonging, and a home?

The epic, multi-million selling series continues with The Moon Sister.

Critic Reviews

'The Pearl Sister is absolutely wonderful... Lucinda enthralls and mesmerizes as she weaves the modern and the historical settings together so finely there's not a crack to be found in either the plot or the pacing.' (Random Things Through My Letterbox)

A celebration of culture !

Wonderful story - loved hearing about the aboriginal traditions and beliefs. A fabulous story - plenty of mystery and not predictable like the earlier books. Male voices were questionable lol but overall I Loved it !

A delightful read/listen

Such a charming tale. I particularly enjoyed the Australian Aboriginal entrance into the story and learning a little more about their culture.

Great story, which was unfortunately hindered by lacking nation

I was hesitant when purchasing this title due to the setting of the main storyline and the complicated nature of Australia's short, but controversial history following white settlement.

Lucinda dealt with these issues extremely well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline.

Unfortunately, I found the narration and interpretation of various accents to be so grating that it interfered with my enjoyment of the book

The worst of the series

The other books were enjoyable, but not this one, I couldn’t relate to the characters, the plot was forced, and it dragged on and on. The Australian accents also sounded terrible.

Again, loved this story as much as the three that preceded it. Looking forward to the next in the series and feel it’ll be just as captivating a story

Amazing

Love it that the story of the Pearl Sister was mainly based in Australia. I love the Australian Outback. I travelled to many of these places described in the storyline. It was a like I was reliving my own adventures. Thank you Lucinda Riley

Slow burn but worth it

It took me longer to get into this book, than the others, due to the nature of the character. Perhaps I experienced Cece like everyone in the story does, though. Which is pretty great. Looking forward to the next one.
