Decent but......
Better than the book before but that isnt saying to much.
There are only 2 side characters/groups of note in minkala, long juan, and the people who were experimented on.
The rest of the side characters were boring, uninteresting and felt like a really bad time waste.
I really hope the rest of the series doesnt talk for hours about meaningless characters.
The story also feels like it is dragging on abit.
Atleast no info dump this time....

love the series but...
I love this series however it felt like half the book was full of inconsequential parts like he was just trying to drag it out... definitely not as good as the previous, I'm hoping the next book is like the previous 6

it was good but....
between this book and the last one, if you removed the POV's from the random people that made little to no sense in story except for dragging out this arc, the whole minkhala arc would of been amazing, I understand some type of world building and others perspectives but when it happens so much, with many chapters 40+ minutes of changing perspectives and timelines it was utterly annoying and down right frustrating when you get an info dump on someone just to listen to them die later on

did the author change?
Have realy enjoyed this series so far, that being said, this felt like it was written by a different author, focus on this book felt in opposition to the previous books. Side characters took up a huge percentage of the shorter time we had this round. I hope this story can get back to what the previous books had, looking forward to a better next book.
