Publisher's Summary

Matt, Liz, and Aster are now Tier 10.

That means it's time for the Pather tournament. There they will face people who are as strong as them for the first time.

But things are never easy.

With years of Luna's guidance they will have to compete twice. Once as themselves and again under a mask with restrictions meant to ensure they really are the strongest.

Don't miss Book 5 of this action-packed fantasy adventure that blends everything you love about LitRPG with Xianxia.

About the series: This is a mix between LitRPG and Xianxia. It's like a car that looks like a LitRPG with dungeons and skills, but the interior and engine are all Xianxia. It features a magic system and progression system that are logically and internally consistent, as well as realistic fight scenes and a rational MC.

Good book, would recommend!

another brilliant addition to the series. I love the fact the story does get hung up on the slow things. the series is ~30 years in and it's only been 5 books. thank you.

also another fantastic performance in story telling. well done.

it's a good 5th book.

It's good. it's authentic to the series and the writing hasn't gotten lazy which is great!

tournaments are very stable and predictable and this book lacks any real development other than defining character and politics. it's a great buffer to get time passing for sure.

I would really hope 6 is coming quick with how little change came from 5. hopefully same wild ideas were pouched into 6.

Needs more than a single narrator

The first few books the narrator was perfectly fine for, but as the books continued and total roster of characters needing to be voiced increased, the lack of range and variety has really made this book hard to listen to. The slowing of speech and the volume altering with the voices has gotten unbearable and without me reading the book prior i dont think i would of noticed who was speaking unless it was stated. Overall pretty good but if it continues to be single narrator ill probably just stick with reading

Quill and Torch.

I loved this arc, Matt and Liz learning new avenues for their power sets man! Luna knows her shit. Luna and Kurt rocking the 'torch shirts' my most favourite part and Mara and Leon too.

needs more voice actors

made it 4 hours in before I got lost in the sea of people having the same voices and the only difference between them being pitch and speed. need to bring on a female voice actor to help split up the voices more
