Publisher's Summary
On the eve of World War II, a honeymoon turns treacherous.
For Stella Bled Lawrence, being wealthy and stylish in 1938 is exactly what it's cracked up to be. She's blissfully unaware of the rising tensions in Europe even as she travels to Vienna on the eve of the Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass.
Stella and her husband, Nicky, witness the night's atrocities firsthand. Even as they watch the horror, they never imagine it will touch them personally, a pair of wealthy Americans on their honeymoon, but touch them it does.
In the chaotic aftermath, Stella finds passion and purpose in the form of a package with a Paris address. She promises to deliver it, not knowing what it contains or who wants it. Soon, Stella must decide who and what she's willing to sacrifice to keep a secret that has been quietly guarded for 500 years.

A wild journey!
A couple on their honeymoon have quite a wild journey and never a dull moment! Great story. Characters you'll love (and some you will hate, but that's ok - we are supposed to hate them!). I really enjoyed this one and was sorry when it was over.

Unrealistic plot and characters
Unrealistic plot and characters. So annoying. Fast moving but not worth the read. Will return. Not recommended.

Cracking pace
I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Well researched regarding the storm clouds gathering over Europe leading up to world war 2. The narrator I wasn’t so keen on . I would have preferred an English voice.

Maybe suitable for younger demographic
The story had potential but I think was designed for a younger demographic. An abundance of unnecessary description drove me crazy and didn't move the story forward so seemed unnecessary.
