Publisher's Summary
A New York Times bestseller, The Paper Swan is a haunting tale of passion, loss, and redemption. Dark, gritty romance that sizzles with intrigue and suspense.
"You can either choose love or you can choose hate, because where one lives, the other will die."
Kidnapped a day short of her twenty-fourth birthday, Skye Sedgewick struggles to uncover her captor's motives. Damian Caballero is not only impossible to read, but also dark, troubled, and unflinchingly brutal.
For twenty-one days, Skye holds on. But on Day Twenty-Two, she yearns for the sweet slumber of death. Because on Day Twenty-Two, Skye realizes that her only way out means certain death for one of the two men she loves.
Intended for mature audiences due to violence, sex, and language. Subject may be disturbing for some listeners.

Beautiful story
A very unusual story that's anything but cliche. It's so full of raw emotions and unexpected turns of events. It held my attention and intrigues that I finished listening to it within 1 day.
Zachary Webber's narration is perfect as usual, I think I've become a fan of his works. In fact I found this book as I was looking up all the books narrated by him! Shirl Rae's narration of this book however is a bit awkward in the way she interprets the emotions through her tones and her accent was a bit distracting to me.

A wonderful listen
Leylah Attar is wonderful at using descriptive words in her book, making it like a running movie in your mind you can picture what is taking place on the pages to clearly, taste it, feel it and hear like your right there. This is my first listen to this Author and I’m about to start Mists of the Serengeti.

Was okay
Nothing to rave about here. The whole story is based on misinterpretations and assumptions leading two people down a different path. Romance that eventually comes back together. Very predictable though.
