About this listen

The new audiobook edition of this best-selling book gives a thorough and accessible account of the history behind the Palestine-Israeli conflict, its roots, and the possibilities for the future. The audiobook is divided into two parts - the first by an American rabbi and Professor of Judaism, and the second by a Palestinian lecturer on Islam. The result is a real insight into the situation, with each author giving full vent to the emotions behind the two sides of the debate - Cohn-Sherbok and El-Amini come together at the audiobook’s conclusion to debate the issues, and offer real solutions to which future peace talks may aspire.

Fair and balanced account of a complex issue

Coming from a naive perspective I found this to be a comprehensive account of the tragedy that is the Palestinian/ Israeli conflict. It appears balanced in its opinions and has perspectives from both sides which helps flesh out issues important to both sides.

my head hurts now.

this was what I needed to hear, when you know anything you are going to read will be biased why not hunt out a history book that comprises two biased versions so you can decide the middle ground. like this i particularly was relieved to hear a little author to author combat over last hour to get a better vibe as how far from neutral they were. are you sure Tolkien didnt invent this insane situation?

It is educational. Strongly recommended.

The audiobook is presented fairly by both authors with their views and historical baseline. It is up to the listeners to decide to which side they will agree. Merit is also given to the reader of this audio. He presented it smooth and clear. In conclusion, I strongly recommend this audio to understand the events happening there in that land.
