Covering 13.8 billion years, a calculatedly concise, wryly intelligent history of everything, from the Big Bang to the advent of human civilization.
With wonder, wit, and flair - and in record time and space - geophysicist David Bercovici explains how everything came to be everywhere, from the creation of stars and galaxies to the formation of Earth's atmosphere and oceans to the origin of life and human civilization. Highly detailed but expansive overview of almost everything. Narrator a bit dry.
Loved the way the writing took the reader deep into the rabbit hole in places. Having read a few similar books on these topics I enjoyed learning several new concepts not covered in other expansive attempts by other authors. The Narrator successfully delivered the writing but was a little dry and mispronounced a few terms. But it didn’t overly detract. Enjoyed!

6 hours well spent
A short history covers an awful lot of depth so well
It only scratches the surface, but there’s a lot of surface and I’ve at least got some knowledge of the size of the surface

Expansive yet not too so
The author takes a very long view, without over emphasis on only humanity, while explaining simply the geophysical causes of the changes occurring throughout.
