A narration makes or breaks a book
While this was quite an interesting story, the narration made it impossible to listen for any length of time as it was a strange mix of slow-mo interspersed with a kind of chuckle! I had to work hard to finish this book and almost gave up several times.

On the edge of my seat
I love this book, it’s so suspenseful and I did not predict the thrilling twists and turns that this story takes. I’ve already recommended it to multiple people and they have all loved it as well. Such an easy read but so interesting as well. I actually can’t wait to read it again! Well done Christian

Great story with some annoying bits
I nearly gave up on this story because of the narrator who sounded amateurish at times. She adopted a cute voice for example when reading about a child and a little giggle when reading about something funny or ironic. She did improve by the end however. The author sprinkled Americanisms throughout the story which was unnecessary for an Australian novel BUT overall it was a read book and I’m glad I preserved.

Brilliant
Well written, engaging story and the narrator did a fantastic job, she was great with the accents! Really enjoyed this read. fascinating! actually enjoyed the insights into the pentecostal Church of light religion. I was worried it might be disturbing but it wasn't. it was just a really great read with some good twists.

Great story, good twists, satisfying ending
Really enjoyed it, will definitely follow this author. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was that I found the first half of the book to be a little slow moving. It did take awhile to get into the story but once you are in you will be hooked. Great ending, lots of twists. Good narrator, enjoyable book.

Great story but ending felt rushed
Such a good book and had so many good twists
The end just felt a bit rushed and felt like so many parts could have been explained further
Overall worth the read

Another great novel by Christian White
This was a simple idea told so well, narrated wonderfully, and stays interesting all the way through.
