Interesting motives and intertwining of cases. Not the normal murder mystery story and pleasant to listen to.

Giving not stealing
This book was a pleasure to listen to and more than that it left me smiling, knowing I wanted more not just from author but narrator as well. It moved along smoothly but softly there was anticipation and anxiety for the characters, yet it didn’t leave you at fever pitch at anytime. Although I was left wanting more I didn’t feel that this book was missing anything. A truely pleasurable time spent on it with , no time stolen from me day or night. Thank you

I love all the books written by joy Ellis
I have quite a few if her novels and ever grow tired listening or reading them.
good story lines and full of suspense and you cannot guess the ending. great listen deserves the 5 star rating

Solid and satisfying crime thriller
Lots of twists and turns and suitably nasty goings-on in a sleepy English village make for an enjoyable page-turning crime yarn. With added cups of tea.

At last! Marie and Jackman are back!
The narrator as usual delivered a great performance; how does he manage to remember the different voices I've often wondered! Good to hear all the old names of the team, and reminding myself of most of their backstories...as usual an intriguing story, lots of strange people in the Fens it seems :) the ending left a question, that could mean another book...or not? 😅🤔😊
