What a cutie patootie story!!! Adorable storyline, adorable characters, absolutely love the Cuban family.
Ivan's scene with Boots, forcing his love was my absolute favourite, lots of giggles then.
Predictably sweet story. Definitely worth a read for something sweet, easy to read/listen and nothing too over the top.

A pleasantly wholesome and predictable love story. Intermingled with some slapstick comical moments and way too much cheese than is healthy. It helped to escape the horrors of worldwide politics and catastrophe for a few hours.

Eye-rollingly cheesy

A break from the typical misunderstood bad boy was such a breath of fresh air. However I feel that the male protagonist didn’t exhibit very much personal development, and there were some indicators that he needed some (annoyed and irritated at her for no good reason). I loved the animals and it added so much laughter, cuteness and depth. However as soon as the complaint came in it felt like the author did a quick resolve with a lot of loose ends hanging in the air. Overall great performance & some innovative ideas in this book, wouldn’t discount it just because the ending felt rushed as that’s pretty common.
