About this listen
Twenty years ago seven students became friends at their exclusive private school, Potter's Field. Now they have started dying in the most violent way imaginable. Detective Max Wolfe follows the bloody trail from the backstreets and bright lights of the city, to the darkest corners of the corridors of power. As the bodies pile up, Max finds he is fighting not only for justice, but for his own life....
The gripping first novel in an explosive new crime series by Tony Parsons, bestselling author of Man and Boy. If you like crime-novels by Ian Rankin and Peter James, you will love this.

Gripping Max Wolfe thriller. Love it.
Tony Parsons wrote this book to be read by Colin Mace, I am convinced. Look no further for the ultimate in crime fiction that reflects realism through the streets of London.

This is very, very good
it's many years since I have seen Tony Parsons on TV. I could see he was smart but never really appreciated him. Based on this, his talent as an author is clear. Great characters, great plot, perfect pace. Also wins the prize for the number of times Heckler & Koch can be written in one novel.

Outstanding - a compelling audiobook
Such a well-written novel and excellently performed by the very talented Colin Mace. I look forward to more Tony Parsons/Colin Mace audiobooks. Highly recommended if you enjoy police procedurals.

It had potential and I wanted to enjoy it
The narrator was good and elements of the story were also good. However, there were too many implausible elements. It’s a shame as I wanted to enjoy it.
