منذ زمن طويل كان يراودنى حلم إصدار موسوعة عن العظماء والروَّاد، ولكنى كنت أتردد، ذلك بسبب انشغالى فى إنجاز مؤلفاتى التى صدرت تباعاً فى علم النفس والتربىة، وعندما أراد الله بدأت.

كان الاختيار صعباً للغاية؛ فكان السؤال/ التحدى: عمَّن أكتب؟!.. اجتذبنى تتبع أخبار الفوز بجائزة نوبل فى الآداب، واستثارنى أنّ الأديبات الفائزات بالجائزة لا يمكن مقارنتهن "كمًّا" بالنسبة لأندادهم من الأدباء الرجال، فكان التعاطُف، ولمَّا أردت اكتشاف بعض الحقائق، فقد بدأت الكتابة عنهن، وعندما انتىيت وجدت أن هناك أديبات عظيمات، ومع هذا لم يفزن بهذه الجائزة أمثال: إميلى برونتى، وجورج صاند، وسيمون دى بوفوار، وأجاثا كريستى، وإيزابىل الليندى، وجىن أوستن، وفرجينيا وولف.. وغىرهن، لذا قرَّرت أن أكتب عنهن وأضيفهن لما كتبته، فكانت الموسوعة التى أطلقت عليها اسم "أشهر المبدعات فى تارىخ الأدب العالمى".
