A wonderful, heartfelt work that honours the memory of Prince
I've been an enthusiastic fan of Prince's work since the mid-80's. with this book, Mayte has put together a truely inspiring story, taking us on the roller coaster ride that was her decade+ long relationship with Prince.
It brought back so many wonderful memories of the Prince concerts & after parties I've attended, including the first time he toured Sydney (with a young Mayte) in the Diamonds and Pearls tour.
I just want to thank Mayte for sharing her heart with us. The world is still grieving the loss of this musical genius and this book helps to salv the wounds left when he left us.
Listening to the audio version, read by Mayte made it alll the more touching.

Exceptional Book!!
Mayte gave an exceptional performance of this wonderful story. It really did feel like it was from the heart, and you felt all her emotions, especially during the unfortunate parts of her life, but even the uplifting moment she finally had the child she so badly wanted. I cried a number of times. Thank you for a wonderful book Mayte.

This is the most beautiful and compelling story, Mayte takes you on a journey of love, laughter and heart wrenching moments with only love in her heart, an absolutely beautiful story x

Gentle Yet Compelling
I didn’t know anything about Mayte Garcia before I stumbled upon this book, but being a huge Prince fan I was naturally very intrigued to hear about him from someone so close to him. This isn’t a tell-all filled with torrid revelations, it is not a get-even - this is about Mayte first and foremost and I found the description and reminiscences of her early life almost as interesting and fascinating as the account of her time with Prince. Mayte, you have a beautiful voice, so easy to listen to, and I love the honesty, respect and love for Prince and Amiir that shines through. I highly recommend this book.

Absolutely beautiful
Showing a side of her life with one of the worlds greatest artists that they public never knew until now Mayte pours her heart and soul into her words especially when she talks of their son and her daughter. It's beautiful to see her love for Prince never died. People will come to their own conclusion about why things ended but at the end of the day it's simply a beautiful story about life, love and loss.

A rare insight
I enjoyed Mate's very honest and heartfelt rendering of her life with Prince. It is touched equally with the brilliance of two souls melding and creating, to the very saddest of heartbreaks. Mayte is a rare and beautiful wordsmith, and this sotry is well worth a listen.

Wonderful
As a long time Prince fan I was extremely sceptical about this book, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was a moving, beautifully written account of a relationship that influenced some of the most incredible music in Prince’s catalogue.

The most beautiful story by the most beautiful girl in the world
What an overwhelmingly beautiful story! As well as being the most beautiful girl in the world, she is definitely one of the strongest! She is truly amazing.
The story is a beautiful, exciting, tragic and blissful timeline of her life as a dancer, her life and love she shared with Prince and the tragic heartbreak and loss they both experienced of their beautiful baby boy, Amir Nelson.
This story will make you laugh, cry, get angry, excited, feel joyful and will definitely keep you intrigued throughout, which is what makes it so beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with the world Mayte.
