About this listen

"When it comes to dating, I seem to be going around in a circle. The ones I want don't want me, and the ones who want me, I don't want." (Amelia)

I don’t know, I just think there’s too much miscommunication between guys and girls. I mean, no one knows what the fuck is going on. We need to have the discussion. We need to vent it and get it out in the open,” I said, grabbing my drink from the bedside table.

_______ sat on the edge of the bed and put his shirt back on. “What do you want to know?”

“I just want to know what guys are thinking. I mean we have sex and stuff and nothing lasting ever comes of it,” I said, taking a cigarette out and lighting it. I knew I shouldn’t be smoking in the room, but I was too drunk to care.

“I don’t think I should say. We don’t know everything girls are thinking. I think some things are better left unsaid.”

“I want to know. I’d prefer shit to be clearer, because I’m always confused,” I replied. I could tell he was still a bit sexually frustrated, but he seemed okay to chat.

“Go ahead then, ask what you want. I’ll try give it to you as straight as I can. But don’t hate the messenger,” _______ responded, taking the champagne from my hand and having some.

“I won’t, promise. So why do guys act so interested and then not get in touch at all? ?” I asked."

Amazing

I got so much from their book I think everyone should read it regardless of whether they are going through a break up or in a relationship

Some really great content

I really enjoyed the discussion on modern day dating and the characters were quite interesting. I did feel some bits were a little corny but I think it's a hard subject matter to discuss without a bit of that arising here and there. I don't know why we had to hear from the ex at the end, it seemed unnecessary and out of place, but overall I'm glad I took the time with this.

not worth purchasing.

Had many great reviews so gave it a try. Was disappointed. If over the age of 22, I do not recommend. Might be better suited to teen or young adult going through their first ever break up.

don't recommend

didn't even get 1/2 way before leaving it. just dribble may be good for an 18 year old, just a woman talking about her day really and way to much about social media

It’s just a girl whinging - nothing helpful

Really disappointed with this book. It’s just a girl whining about the drama she’s having with a guy - I can listen to myself whinge about my love life, I don’t need to pay for a book to do it.
Got nothing helpful from this book.

Not Worth it

I was expecting so much more I bought it for the quotes, but that was the best part.
Listening to this feels like a rom-com with a few different perspectives.

Time and brain cells i won't get back!

Even with it sped up to 2x it was still to much time invested. The only reason i even listened to as much as I did was as i was driving and couldn't select another book.... Classic case of only listened to half but will mark as finished to take it out of my list.
Would be better to sit in a coffee shop and eves dropped listening in on conversations as they discuss and repeat the story several times in a conversation on what happened and why with no self responsibility.
