About this listen
'Packed with passion ... a love story full of charm, music and soul-mates ... a classic E L James combo of the sweet and erotic with the perfect ending for romantics. I think it’s her best by far!' - Milly Johnson, The Sun
___________________
A thrilling romance from E L James, author of the phenomenal #1 bestselling Fifty Shades trilogy
London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face.
But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past. Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? Can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own?
From the heart of London through wild, rural Cornwall to the bleak, forbidding beauty of the Balkans, The Mister is a roller-coaster ride of danger and desire that leaves the reader breathless to the very last page.

Inconclusive ending
So many questions left on answered. Who attended the wedding, what did Carolyn do, did his mother behave. What was their life like after the wedding. Did she become a concert pianist. Please tell me there’s a sequel?

GREAT
I think E.L. James has really hit the mark with this one. Love story with suspense and intrigue. The production of this audiobook is really good, especially liked the piano, the narrators Jessica O'Hara & Dominic Thorburn\ read the really well. To me an audiobook which is like a movie playing in my head is fantastic and that's what I got from this one.

Music an enjoyable addition
Storyline a bit improbable, and Misters drooling overdone at times. the piano music made it.

Not worth the bother *said with a ridiculous British accent*
This book is not in the same league as the grey series in writing technique, style or it’s ability to keep your interest. It was gruelling to listen to & although the lead female character had some traits worthy of a leading lady the conversation that went from first to third person within a paragraph was tolling. The lead male character, again, with some aspiring traits just washed over in every other detail & was a sad representation of a man in his imagined entirety. I am not convinced the narrators were at fault in the failings of this books telling & am more leaning toward the fact the author was likely in a dream state throughout most of this terribly written novel.

Great read
Mmmm. This story started with a selfish man grieving not only his brothers death but the loss of his playboy life.
Along comes a woman with a troubled past and just one look has him wanting to be the best man that he can for her.
Narration was awesome.
