Publisher's Summary

What do you do when you wake up to a whole new life...with dangerous urges you can't control? Medic Drake McKennan has never been good at following protocol, so she doesn't think twice about rendering emergency care when a teenager's life is at stake - even if the young girl is in the throes of Were fever and any sane human should know better. It isn't the bright shining pain of the bite or even the wrenching agonies of the fever that convinces Drake everything in her life has changed. It's the way she feels about the blonde with the wolf-gold eyes who awakens a dark hunger she can't control...and doesn't want to. Sylvan, the Alpha of the Adirondack Timberwolf Pack, is the one female Drake can't have. And the only one she craves.

Hmm

Well to be honest, I really wanted to like these books and the story idea is interesting but to me it feels far more like beastiality porn and this is really NOT what I am interested in 😰

Ridiculous

First off, I wanna say the narration was pretty good!

The story though...

It started really promising and I was having fun with it, but the further I got the more annoyed I got. All the characters could think about was how damned horny they were. Even during serious situations, they are like "my groin started throbbing" (if I have to read about throbbing genials again I'll actually scream).

While I love some good smut this was ridiculous, it completely took over the story. It started off with an interesting enough plot but it never really went anywhere and became so very weak. The ending was so anticlimactic and the villain was just some stereotypical "bad guy" that was barely in the story.

The smut wasn't even good! The way it was described and the wording used was just so odd. And then you got the fact the women in this story essentially have penises. They have clitorises that are described and act like one and they have sex exactly like a m/f couple. Even going so far as to be able to impregnate each other. Interesting to say the least lol.

And most of the smut didn't even happen between the main couple. Actually, there seemed to be more touching and interaction between Sylvan and her annoying, obsessed 'bodyguard' Nikki, then there were between Sylvan and Drake.
