To solve an impossible murder, you need an impossible hero…

Seventy-seven-year-old Judith Potts is blissfully happy. She lives alone in a faded mansion in Marlow, sets crosswords for The Times, and there’s no man in her life to tell her what to do or how much whisky to drink.

One evening, while out swimming in the Thames, Judith witnesses a brutal murder. When the local police don’t believe her story, Judith and two unlikely friends decide to investigate for themselves. Together, they are the Marlow Murder Club.

But soon another body turns up, and it seems they have a real-life serial killer on their hands. Now the puzzle they set out to solve has become a trap from which they might never escape…

Great Narrator for light hearted tale

Narrator really bought this one to life. She was fun to listen to and made it easy to listen as I drove.
A silly light-hearted murder mystery. A very cliches about older women that were a bit grating. But otherwise an easy going tale.

Great read and excellent twist

Who committed the Marlow murders ? That’s the question you will ask till the very end when the unlikely plot twist unravels. All the characters were skilfully crafted and brought to life by the narrator. The main protagonist is fabulous and I found myself cheering for her and her friends till the very end. This lovely murder mystery book is an easy holiday read.

Delightful

I enjoyed the friendship of the three women. They support each other and the adventure of solving murders brings out the best in all of them. A fun, feminist romp.
