About this listen
It is 1933, and a dead man has been found lying under railway arches in Berlin. An old soldier, hideously disfigured, he has been killed mysteriously.
Gereon Rath is brought onto the case while his fiancée, Charlotte Ritter, blazes her own trail. Meanwhile, the Nazis consolidate their hold on power, the Reichstag is burned down and things become a lot worse not only for Berlin’s Jewish community but also for those police officers who can remain in action.

I wish I could find more English translations
I love the Gereon Rath series, the interplay of murder mystery with history is compelling and makes for an enthralling listen/read

Please translate the rest of the series
So well written. Such in depth understanding of how the situation developed. Great characters. Great narration. Please translate the remaining series of 5. It’s very important now more than ever as people don’t learn from history.
