About this listen
Twelve sensational Sherlock Holmes short stories from a bestselling master of the genre
Maverick detective Sherlock Holmes and his faithful chronicler Dr. John Watson return in twelve thrilling short stories.
The iconic duo find themselves swiftly drawn into a series of puzzling and sinister events: an otherworldly stone whose touch inflicts fatal bleeding; a hellish potion to unlock a person’s devilish psyche; a fiendishly clever, almost undetectable method of revenge and many more—including a brand-new Cthulhu Casebooks story.

Great collection
A wonderful collection of short mysteries solved in the style of Sherlock. Narrated well. Enjoyable.

Quite good alternative stories
Interesting takes unlike the originals but in a similar format. The thing I like least is that Holmes is rather more arrogant and degrading towards Watson, but overall good thought provoking stories.

Disappointing compared to others, unlike able
I enjoyed the cthulu casebooks and a few others written and narrated by the same duo, however much of the dialogue and stories feel lazy and uncharacteristically stupid dialogue and logic for both main characters.
Holmes is at times outrightly unlikeable and a bully to Watson in a manner I have not experienced previously. At times it was a chore to persist because of it. Not sure if it's the writing, the performance or both.
Some interesting ideas such as the curious case were closed down too quickly much the same way a cancelled series is. I would have liked to read a more developed version.
Not one I will revisit.
