About this listen
Another title in the ever popular Agatha Christie series.
The suave and debonair Colonel Race must solve a question, not of ‘accidental death or suicide’, but ‘murder or double murder’.
Pretty, young Anne came to London looking for adventure. In fact, adventure comes looking for her – and finds her immediately at Hyde Park Corner tube station. Anne is present on the platform when a thin man, reeking of mothballs, loses his balance and is electocuted on the rails.
The Scotland Yard verdict is accidental death. But Anne is not satisfied.
After all, who was the man in the brown suit who examined the body? And why did he race off, leaving a cryptic message behind: ‘17-122 Kilmorden Castle’?

Funny...
It's not her usual style, is it? Terribly romantic, funny, and adventurous. I enjoyed it, but it's not my favourite.

Not her best effort
Struggled to finish. Poor story line, not believable with chovanist themes. Quite unbelievable in parts.

Emilia Fox made male dialogue sound like Exorcist
I love Agatha, but the heroine's preference for 'real men', who threaten to either ravage her or beat her 'black and blue' if she met someone else (and murder any prospective suitors), was hard to deal with. Especially the joyful Mary Poppins voice Emilia used as the heroine, supposedly thrilled to receive these violent declarations that she was HIS woman now.
But the most annoying part was 7 hours of hearing Emilia attempt to do male dialogue. She sounded like Linda Blair possessed in The Exorcist.
