About this listen
Book 5 of The End Times
Archaon Everchosen marches on the city of Middenheim. The last heroes of men, elves and dwarfs gather to stop him, but to stand against the hordes of the Ruinous Powers, they must turn to darker allies…
LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE
It's a bleak and tragic – and thoroughly epic and enjoyable – look at the final days of the Warhammer World and the heroes and villains who fought to save or damn it.
THE STORY
The End Times have come. Archaon Everchosen marches on the city of Middenheim – if he captures it, the key to the Chaos Gods' ultimate victory will be his. The last heroes of men, elves and dwarfs gather to stop him, but to stand against the hordes of the Ruinous Powers, they must turn to darker allies. Against all reason, the last hope for the world may be the Undying King, Nagash himself – if he and the mortal races can find a common cause and work together. If they cannot, Archaon's plan will come to fruition, and Chaos will consume the world.

A satisfying end
As someone that came into the mini hobby after the end times (I originally got into the hobby with the intention to play old world but didn't know it was dead)
originally exposed to the universe playing total war so being very familiar with all of the characters stories I think this series was great.
Sometimes the everyone dies ending is far more impactful than the happy ending.
I know the end times are super unpopular to those who played it for years, but I personally really enjoyed it.

Tolerable 8 years on
There is no way this would have been given the time in 2015 with the pain so raw. But with The Old World coming back and the timing being what it is, this book is pretty good. The Bretonnian’s don’t feature much but the interactions between the allies of convenience is an interesting characterisation of their relationships. Big shout out to Vlad. The best worst guy on the planet.
