Vincent Tolman
About this listen
At the age of 25, Vincent Tolman was pronounced dead and put in a body bag. Nearly an hour later, he miraculously came back to life. This book is about Vincent's experience–what he saw, what he was taught, and the message of hope and joy he brought back with him to Earth.
"This book was literally life-changing for me. It not only explained why the world is the way it is right; It gave me hope in what's to come." (Richard Paul Evans, number one New York Times best-selling author)
Vincent Tolman was found dead in the bathroom of a small restaurant. He had been dead for over half an hour at the age of 25. When paramedics arrived, they put him in a body bag and took him away. A rookie paramedic had a feeling to risk his career, break all protocols, and try to resuscitate Vincent. Miraculously, he restarted Vincent's heart, and Vincent was in a coma for three days. Vincent remembers what happened on the "other side" while he was dead. This is his story.

Truly enjoyable to read
I got this book when I heard about Vinny's story. I'm so glad I did as it gives you a different perspective to others stories on spiritual happenings. The messages and guidelines are rich. I liked that the author narrated the book to.

Very cringe
Obviously a mish mash of other peoples NDE experiences and some of the moral teachings from the bible, without any mention Jesus of course. Throw in the cringe of how a professional psychiatrist throws him out of his office, the sickening how he meets his girlfriend story and then the last kick in the cringe guts his spiritual guide just happened to be his great grandfather which he just happens to spot in an old timey photograph whilst out with his girlfriend. If this book was fiction it would have been boring, so trying to sell it as a real story. Great story for those who long for a one world religion and no need for a saviour.
seriously dude.

completely unbiblical
I'm usually pretty open to ideas and doctrine that isnt in the bible, but I draw the line when its directly opposed to scripture. A small handful of points:
- multiple heavens? No hell?
- all religions lead to God?
- no mention of sin and repentance?
- where was Jesus? Was he on holiday during your NDE?
The thing is, this book made me think. I was trying to work out, why the devil would influence a book like this that talks about God, heaven, loving others etc. In fact 95% of the teaching was actually excellent advice. Then I realised if he could convince everyone that this doctrine was correct, and we had no need to repent and serve Jesus, he'd have won himself a lot more souls..
2Cor 11.14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
John 14.6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
