Learning doesn't have to be formal, of course. Have someone show you how to crochet, play chess, or make ceramic figurines. Learn to play a musical instrument or take up painting. Solving crossword puzzles every day means learning new words and phrases. These simple mind-boosting activities should be practiced throughout your life to have the longest and most mentally healthy life possible.
Taking time each day to work on something that strengthens your mind not only improves your mental health, it also expands your horizons - you might encounter new people, visit new places, dream new dreams!
