Lovely story
Charming story. I think this would make a lovely movie. The narration is quite good in terms of portraying the characters’ emotions, but falls down on the American accents, which is a slight pity. Well read, however, and really doesn’t detract from the story itself.

My first Audible book
Really enjoyed this book and found it quite compelling listening. Not a significant work of fiction but good for a rainy day.

Best book I've read in ages
Fantastic and heart wrenching. A story of love, loss and destiny. Author Kathryn Hughes interweaves stories that span generations. I'm now going to buy every book she's written.

A good story
This is the first novel I have read by Kathryn Hughes. I found her writing style easy to listen to and the story flowed well. This is a good book and I will be seeking out more from this author.
A great performance as well.
