About this listen
With Randidly Ghosthound's help, humanity has withstood the first impact of the System.
Old institutions are re-erected as the Zones settle into new normalcy, characterized by the enthusiastic application of the scientific method to System principles and the stubborn return of pop culture and consumerism.
Yet these familiar edifices of stability conceal an altogether new breed of monster. One that bears the face of a human but the beating heart of a horror.
Randidly continues to investigate the mysterious Father Foster, the central figure of the rapidly expanding Unity Church. Although the religious organization speaks loudly about its many philanthropic pursuits, a closer inspection reveals a more sinister motivation.
Just when Randidly thinks he has a handle on the situation, old debts come due: he must return to Tellus to assist his spear teacher Shal. What he finds there is a reignited war with an army of replaceable automatons, a weaponized and manipulated version of the Forsaken Hunger Tide. The defensive lines of the Spearman School are in a state of collapse, with the other Schools' curiosity apathetic to the threat.
From the front lines of the bloody conflict, Randidly can witness the real costs of dragging his feet in the face of the Calamities that the System throws against unsuspecting planets…

story was a good continuation
the immense amount of equal power randidly obtains from the frame at next to no trial vs the opposite ash is ridiculous. narrator used a deep male voice for a female, and made too many extras sound like randidly. aside from that, the book was a great continuation of the story, some cool ways of introducing challenge power build up and imagery

Another great book
Love this series but in this book theres is too much following of pathetic characters. Characters like silo and the other idiot from orchard, seriously pathetic characters that get waaaaay too much written about them

Tessa's "creative writing" is such a bore that i nearly stopped listening
the book and contents are fairly good, but the Author jumps from story to story, person to person, sometimes without proper context or even a SLIGHT reminder about previous storyline that the character is involved in. i love the immersive size and scope of the book, with the dynamic amd many characters but I feel this book was a lot more disorganised than the last ones. it's as if the Author expects you to remember every single little thing that has happened in the 100 hours or previous books.
also the characters Tessa and Helen are getting worse and worse.
Tessa's "creative writing" or whatever its called is SO BAD, MONOTONOUS AND PREACHY, that I literally skipped through the whole lot. imagine reading a legal document, written by a wannabe dignitary that majored in art and cool-aid camps.
other than that the story itself is pretty good.
tellus is a lot less boring than the last books
