About this listen

The Legend of Dominick Brasi follows the journey of a New York City man by the name of Dominick Brasi. He goes off to fight in the Vietnam War during the mid-1960s and returns back to the borough of Richmond (present-day Staten Island) in 1968, only to find himself lost. Both in net worth and lost in purpose.

With the help of his older brother, Charlie "Bricks" Brasi, Dominick ascends through the ranks of the feared Romano Family—one of New York's Five Families.

From the late '60s into the 1970s, Romano boss, Don Vincenzo "Vinny" Romano continues down a more a psychotic means of management creating obstacles not just against the other Mafia families, but even amongst his own ranks as well. Another family—The Francasso Family—have targeted the Romano's for years and will not capitulate easily, causing much more bloodshed than anticipated.

Dominick must adapt as by nature, he is a pure soldier of war. His ambition is what drives him, his loyalty makes him stand apart from the rest. But eventually, a man can only be tested so much....

What happened from 1968-1976 was nothing short of a nightmare...but from that nightmare spawned a legend.
