About this listen
When Caroline Daniels takes a deadly fall in front of a train and her lover fails to turn up at the funeral, Zoë Boehm wants nothing to do with the case.
But Caroline's boss is persistent, and as Zoë attempts to unlock the secrets of a woman she's never met while in search of a man who could be anywhere, she starts to wonder if he's found her first. And if he has, will that make her the next victim?

Awful awful narration
It was only that I so enjoy Mick Herron as an author that I persevered… I had to speed the narration to 1.2 X and even then she managed to drag out some parts… get another narrator!!!!

A detailed and descriptive story
I liked the female protagonist and her approach to her role as a private investigator. And how dogged and determined she was against the odds.

where is the real Mick Herron?
long, convoluted introspection with a boring narrator, with no attention grabbing parts to the plot.

Boring
I usually love this author's books, but I found it boring, confusing and it just rambled on in a disjointed manner
