Loved this! A memorable read…
The intensity of loss expressed in this novel is so palpable it hurts, yet there is warmth, love and humour enough to strike a perfect balance. A book that brings all the feels without being maudlin, reminding us to take nothing for granted and that there’s always hope.

The honesty
Such a beautifully written book that brought me to tears many times. There is so much raw honesty in Emma’s words. It’s hard not to think about your own life’s experiences, but also, very comforting to have your feelings articulated and explored when I don’t have the words. Will absolutely be recommending this book to others.

Hard to put down!
How can a book be so heart breaking but so hopeful at the same time?! Very hard to put down. And so fun to see all the Canberra references!

Great story and brilliantly read
Thanks Emma and Leeanna for a good experience. This is not an easy book to listen to at times because it’s honest and that can be brutal. Emma’s writing and Leeanna’s reading are a perfect combination, helping all who listen to this through the hard moments, one of which will stay with me forever I expect.

Absolutely incredible
This book was so incredible. It was devastating and heartbreaking but also filled with such hope. Kate and Hugh were such beautifully flashed our characters, and the hard topics this book focuses on were dealt with such grace. The narrator was so fantastic and I’m sad there are no more books by her on audible. But I’ll definitely be reading more of Emma Grey’s books when they come out.
This book is going to stay with me for a very long time.

Best book ever - heartbreakingly beautiful!
Emma made me feel like I was part of the Kat and Cam’s world and I didn’t want to stop listening. The way grief is so intricately woven with light, love and laughter makes this the best book that I’ve ever read! The narration is amazing, and I cannot wait to listen again and again and again!

Didn’t want it to finish
I didn’t want to it to finish, I loved this book. It was so heartbreaking and heartwarming and so well written. The narrator did an excellent job conveying the emotions of the book. Emma Grey is an author to watch, can’t wait for her next book!
