About this listen

One cold December day, two men are blindsided by a hockey trade; one is the most decorated goalie in the league, while the other one is the youngest coach in the majors.

Jethro Hale is the last player Coach Clay Powers wants to see on his roster, but the G.M. pulls a fast one. And it's not like he can even explain why. Nobody knows about their love affair fifteen years ago.

Cue the all-star awkwardness, the painful memories and the reawakening of deep feelings on both sides.

Unfortunately, their attraction still burns brightly. But it can never be. A player and a coach? The scandal would overshadow the team’s banner year.

If only they could resist each other…

If you love grumpy heroes, high stakes hockey, struggling single parents and smoldering kisses, grab your copy of The Last Guy on Earth.

Another great story from Sarina

The narrators were great, tho I totally expected Teddy Hamilton to be Jethro. Read it one day and listened the next. So enjoyable

I loved it!

A truly wonderful MM hockey romance! The Last Guy On Earth had me hooked from the start. I loved both Jethro and Clay - everything about this book is perfect. The narration is excellent too!

Sarina knocks one out of the park!

Sarina is one of my preferred authors. All her books are great stories but occasionally they are remarkable. The last guy on earth is one such book. It has everything, two leads who are just so likable and relatable. Family issues, the stress of professional sport and the enormous pressure to succeed. Careers hanging in the balance when performance is suffering and all the while two people battling with emotions and a relationship that seems impossible. If you love top notch romance read this book. I’m off to listen to this wonderful story again. 🥰🥰🥰

lovely, mature romance

was expecting to enjoy this, but surprised by how good it was. Harks back to earlier SB hockey books. quite a bit of depth, but still quite light. some real drama, but mot silly or over the top - just real life concerns. i would have found Jethro's capacity for identifying and feeling his emotions as an older male less believable if he had not had the more recent experiences with his family which would expkain his emotional growth and capacity to have a true, intimate relationship with clay. but it all worked, and while often not an wasy read/listen, i was invested in their happy after as they slowly worked it out. dont know or interested in hockey, but didnt feel need to skip those descriptions. well done to Sarina. love is love.

cosy sports romance for the win

Sarina has brought us another beautiful sports romance. it is made even better by having characters who are both closer to 40 than 20. they have a little more understanding of their goals and responsibilities. solid story with 🏒❤️🌶️

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Superb narration too. Highly recommended.

This whole series has been excellent and this maintained that high level of excellence.. Both narrators J F Harding and Teddy Hamilton were superb and really brought out the touching and deep connection between the two main characters.
I was completely caught up in this audiobook and have marked it as a definite favourite. Highly recommended.
