A fantastic return to form!
I haven't even read the first book in this series, as I mistakenly thought this was a stand alone novel.
But even so, this was a thoroughly enjoyable listen the whole way through.
The narrator is absolutely top notch, using a different voice for each character and different accents for the different cultures.
This book may not be for everyone, the pace is blistering from start to finish and it focused more on war and training for war then some people would like. But I absolutely adore the way Cameron writes about battles and the realities of war.
I also loved almost every character in this book.
If you like combat, Give this book a go, you won't regret it.

Brilliant intriguing and historically educational.
Yet another action, packed thriller which depicts life as it was so many many years ago.
