About this listen

The Last Game at the Sanitorium follows five friends—Eric, Ethan, Chris, Patrick, and Bobby—who embark on an adventurous paintball game inside the abandoned Sanitorium in the 1990s. Once a tuberculosis hospital, the sanitorium was abandoned after a series of mysterious deaths, and rumors of a haunting caretaker spirit linger. The group, intrigued by the legends, enters the decaying building unaware that their lives are about to spiral into a terrifying nightmare.

From the moment they step inside, the sanitorium begins to warp reality around them. Hallways shift, rooms stretch, and the building itself seems alive, reacting to their growing fear. Strange occurrences begin to escalate, from paintballs disappearing mid-air to ghostly figures appearing in windows. The group realizes that the old caretaker’s ghost is not the threat but is instead trying to warn them of the true danger—the malevolent spirits of the doctors who conducted twisted experiments on the patients and are still hunting for new souls to claim.

The friends race through the collapsing building, uncovering the dark history of the sanitorium and discovering that it was built on cursed land. The doctors’ spirits use the sanitorium to trap their victims, feeding off their fear to keep their souls bound to the building. As the group attempts to escape, they confront the spirits in the boiler room, where they believe the heart of the curse lies. Despite their efforts, the sanitorium refuses to release its hold on them.

In a final twist, the group realizes with horror that they have been dead all along. The sanitorium claimed their lives the moment they entered, and everything they experienced was part of a cruel loop designed to trap them. As ghosts, they are now bound to the sanitorium, destined to lure the next group of unsuspecting victims into the building’s deadly embrace. The story ends with the group helplessly watching their past selves arrive, knowing the nightmare will repeat forever.
