About this listen

A cosmopolitan title to get excited about in 2018!

Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with as well as way less experience in the dating department than the average 30-year-old. It doesn't help that she has Asperger's and that French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. She decides that she needs lots of practice - with a professional - which is why she hires escort Michael Phan.

The Vietnamese-Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and he agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan - from foreplay to more-than-missionary position... Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses but also to crave all of the other things he's making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges convinces Stella that love is the best kind of logic...

Charming and human, an absolute delight

The writing gave me a real feel for the characters and how they saw the world. Their complex and 3 dimensional portrayal made the story stand out vividly, and I was never bored.
It was lovely watching them both overcome their insecurities and fall in love.

Quirky does hot as hell

This book was just what I needed. Captivatingly written, great narration, great length. Smart, and sexy. I want more books from this author.

Easy romance with a bit of difference

I thought this would be a mindless listen but found I really enjoyed it. Yes, it is your typical easy romance story but I enjoyed the characters and the slightly different take on things. Anyone who’s into trashy romance will like it. Thought the narrator did a good job too.

I love this story!

I'm a real fan of The Kiss Quotient - my fav type of characters to read about are those with quirky personalities. This story isn't new to me, I've read it as an ebook a few times, but really wanted to listen to the audible version as well. 5 stars for the story, 4 stars for the narration - can;t wait for this authors next book to release :)

The Best of its day

This book evoked the inner high school in me, the roller coaster of emotions and the amazingly different and strong character. It made me realise that people with autism are not always sad and depressing, they are just normal people. Simply amazing, I cannot wait to read more of helen Hoang!!!!

A sexy, heart lightening listen to make you smile(& gasp with the cheeky pleasure)

It is hard no to float along with the lightness and appreciate the balance with the sensitivity and the sexiness without needing to think about it in depth to deconstruct it.
If one wanted to pick it apart, criticise it and dismiss it, that is obviously a possible option. But why bother? There is to much harshness in the world these days to waste your time, energy and effort with that
***a heads up that it has extremely intimate moments, but sidesteps feeling like you are listening to explicit, pornographic description that could offense.

A Book I Went Into Worried

I heard this book had a lot of a sex scenes and I went into the book worried that it was going to focus on that. But there weren't that many sex scenes and they weren't too vivid either.

I loved the characters and thought the two main characters - Stella and Michael - had great chemistry. The addition of Stella having Autism brought new light into a book that could've been to cliche.

The narrator was clear and did a great job at reading the book. I will be looking for more books read by her in the future.

Narration was amazing.

Until the characters started having sex I was spellbound. Then I needed to skip nearly whole chapters of boring sex to get back to a decent story. Sorry, it was just too much, detail by detail, sex. If its going to be a sweet love story with the bite of quirkiness that made it interesting, then leave it sweetish please. Sex is ok in small doses where it is integral to the story. Those other novels that have lots of steamy sex throughout several chapters have sexual tension and perhaps conflict between the characters to get you there with the characters. Otherwise you feel like you are just watching...eeww.

Quirky Romance - NSFW

I really enjoyed this book. I saw it ages ago at the airport in a bookshop and bought it here on sale.
It was WAY more steamy than I was expecting it to be - maybe don't listen at work!
I thought some of the representations of her autism were a little cliche, but I respect and love that the author is speaking from experience. Sweet and adorable and the right amount of predictable, I definitely enjoyed this one.
