Will is at the annual Ranger Gathering but Halt is investigating mysterious happenings in the west. When he does finally return, it’s with bad news: Hibernia is in turmoil. A false religious cult calling themselves the Outsiders are sowing confusion and sedition, and five of the six Hibernian kingdoms have been undermined. Now the sixth, Clonmel, is in danger. I love the humour in these stories. I hope William Zappa continues to read/perform the books as long as John Flanagan continues to write them.

Twinning
I don't like to be patient when reading/listening to an entire series of books. When I finish one book, and don't hesitate to get onto the next in the series, I know it's worth my time. The Kings of Clonmel is a great insight into Halt's unspoken past and John Flanagan's Ranger's Apprentice series has, so far, caused me no hesitation. It also helps when you have a rich voice like William Zappa's to guide your listeners through an artful display of characters and storytelling. Thank you, John Flanagan, for another great book and 10, or so, hours of much enjoyed listening/reading.

Rangers apprentice
I’ve read and enjoyed all the Ranger Apprentice books. Anyone who enjoys adventure stories would enjoy these. Good teenager stories.
