About this listen

Since her arrival in northern Spain, vivid visions have haunted Andrea. In her visions, she sees Julian, the man she loves, being killed by sword. Julian broke up with Andrea out of jealousy and pride, but when she's buried under a slide, he comes searching for her. Soon after they are reunited under the mountain, a portal opens and sends them back in time, to the year AD 718, seven years after the last Spanish king was defeated by the Arab invaders.

Separated by a bitter winter, Andrea and Julian are caught in opposite sides in the battle between the last unconquered Spanish settlements and the Arabian army. It is a battle for survival that will determine the fate of a nation and demand of them the ultimate sacrifice. As the Arabs close in on the mountains, Julian makes a decision that will break Andrea's heart and change them forever.
