About this listen
“Heavy is the head that wears the crown”
Three words fit Dr. Freedom Anderson perfectly: resilient, determined, and challenging. Freedom didn’t have it all growing up, but one would never know, simply off of how she carried herself. Educated, witty and quite charming, Freedom was a force to be reckoned with and made sure everyone in the room was aware of her presence.
She was truly a Queen, a rare gem in a drawer full of rhinestones. Chief saw her before she saw herself. Years ago, they crossed paths but it wasn’t until time had passed did they make a connection. Freedom isn’t concerned with Chief or anything that has to do with him, and honestly, Chief feels the same way.
Besides, he’s the King of New York there isn’t a need for him to chase any woman, not even the stallion whose doorstep he finds himself on every other night.
Freedom is looking for one thing and one thing only, and that’s a good time. Whereas, Chief is nearing his forties and is on the search for his Queen. Children aren’t a must but a wife is in his eyes, Freedom doesn’t want either of the two.
After much convincing, she gives him a chance and doesn’t regret it all. Surprisingly, the assassin turned drug lord is the perfect gentlemen.
Almost too perfect and convincing, instead of allowing Chief to do him and love her, she digs up old skeletons and uncovers a few filthy truths. After Chief asked her to just trust him and she still goes behind his back….he’s done. Chief knows that Freedom isn’t the only woman in New York but every woman isn’t her. However, he refuses to marry a woman who doesn’t know her place.
In the new riveting series from author, Nako, The King and Queen of New York, witness love be created with every passing second.
