Highly Recommended
I have read and/or listened to many books about the Vietnam War. This is one of the best. A confronting and brutal account of soldiering in Vietnam. Highly recommended.

What a great read
I have read quite a few books on the Vietnam war ,but not one as personal as this,very informative well worth taking the time to listen to

Riveting odyssey and experience told in the from the first persons perspective.
A very graphic and brutally honest account of a soldier time during the Vietnam war.
I highly recommend this book.

Great story
Loved the story, gripping, entertaining and informative everything you want from a war memoir.
Although the astonishing overused racist names grated on my attention on the drama, that and the only ever time I’ve heard a soldier big noting the killing of “the enemy” inc women and children has made me question a few time during the book if I wanted to listen to the rest. I did and am glad I did.

Amazing
Compulsory listening for those who want to understand what it was like to be a combat soldier in the Vietnam war. Dramatic stories. Thoughtful reflections. Amazingly told and written. Could not stop listening. Highly recommended but not for the faint hearted.
