About this listen

Justice Beth Garner (Sanaa Lathan) just landed the appointment of a lifetime—a seat on the Supreme Court. Now a mysterious company is blackmailing her for her vote on a landmark case.

Caught up in the checkered past of her hero and mentor, Chief Justice Clayton Erlenborn, Beth must cunningly maneuver through a dangerous web of secrets, deception, and cold-blooded murder. Armed with only her moral compass and unflinching nerve, she’s up against a sinister world full of undercover agents, domestic terrorists, and black ops assassins—all of whom want her to comply or die.

With her career and her life on the line, Beth must race to uncover the truth before it’s too late.

From master storyteller James Patterson, The Justice is a fully immersive Audible Original thriller that takes spellbinding action to the highest court in the land.

High standards in production, less than great writing. Dialogue let's it down.

A brilliant short story

Quite a good short story with an interesting plot and a decent ending. Well written and narrated.

James Patterson has done it again

The acting and the story line - very well written - plot interweaves - not too far fetched but neat

like watching a movie without the picture

this is hard to listen too because of the way it's delivered. no character introductions. no scene setting. Jumps from place to place and back in time then back again. couldn't follow it so didn't finish it.

Ugh that was terrible

That had no redeeming features whatsoever. It was just awful. Totally awful. From the predictable story to the caricature flat pointless characters, everything was bad.

All the dreadful sound effects. I did not find the special effects added to the experience. Ruined it for me.

Loathed all the sound effects. Ruined it for me. I simply abandoned this book. I prefer for the book to simply be well written and excellently read. It was like a bad tv show with the sound on and no images.

Could of been better

It could have been a lot better without all the sound affects as it took a while to know who was who as they all sounded the same.
I could only get into it the last hour or so.
Fortunately it was only 3 hours of my time
