The Joy of Being is a four-session program that explores the process of awakening to our identity beyond the limits of thought and the impact this transformation can have in the world. Speaking after a three-year teaching hiatus, Eckhart discusses:
- Working with whatever conditions arise as your guide for the continuing practice of presence
- Using the inner body and sense perception as anchors to the now
- Freedom from suffering - the spiritual seeker's best motive
- The practice of "being the space" for the situations and circumstances you often find difficult
"The joy of being is derived not from something that happens or from some object but from the essence of who you are," teaches Eckhart. "To know yourself as that is joy." The Joy of Being points to a revolutionary phase in human development where thinking is no longer the dominant aspect of our lives, and unconditioned awareness expresses itself through and as each one of us.

Brilliant!
This book is truly amazing.. I learnt so much about me and how I engage with being in the main stream of day to day life, how I conduct myself (and why), dealing with family and their expectations and so much more. I will listen to it again and recommend it to others.

Brilliant
I am new to Eckhart Tolle"s work and I feel more connected to him than with any other teacher. It just makes so much sense. I am at last finding the gap

Seminar recording. ok quality.
Content was insightful but not world changing. Overall its like talking to a wise person at a cafe. Relaxed and not too heavy

Another wonderful offering
As with the Power of Now, I was sorry that it finished. Yet another powerful Tolle offering. He is truly an amazing teacher. This book and the Power of Now have made a big difference in my life. Everything he says is applicable right now. I will be listening to this again each year. I will be listening to all his offerings. They are all different (and humorous too) but they all have a core message. I would highly recommend this.

Not a great place to start
This a live recording of a retreat. It's worth getting if you've already read/heard the power of now, a new earth, and stillness speaks, but if not, those are better places to start.
For more frequent eggtart listeners, you'll probably enjoy this. It gives you a good sense of being there at the retreat and, as always he has some great insights to share (mixed in with ' new earth' levels of unfounded logical leaps). The good stuff is really good though :-)
