About this listen
Despite being a young master of the Zearthorn sect, Neave is not a cultivator. And if he can have his way, he never will be.
Years of daily beatings, bullying, and abuse haven’t been enough to make him change his mind, and the ultimatum from his father won’t be either.
Forced to choose between an arranged marriage and a path of cultivation, Neave makes a third choice. In a desperate, last-ditch attempt, he enters a secret vault and encounters a treasure.
A book he should have never touched.
Trapped in a hellish time loop of death and suffering, he fights waves of demons in an impossible challenge of skill, creativity, and perseverance.
What will happen when he finally returns?
Oblivious to the apocalypse he had become.
Unaware of the horrors he had dragged outside.

Welcome to Hell
A regression fantasy that, paradoxically, never stands still. The plot and character growth are EARNED.
My dudes. My guys. My fellows. This book did something that action-fantasy rarely achieves. The fights matter. They aren’t just the occasional break to pace out the narrative with some style and excitement. There are a lot of them, and they MATTER.
My one regret is that I’ve listened to the whole thing so soon after publication. I really hope the next one isn’t too far away.

A Wonderful Start
There's something about experimentation and complex exploration of magic systems that scratch an itch. The time loop portion of the book was amazing and turned Neave from an annoying character that made me want to drop the book, to some with some interesting complexity. At least when it comes to how he sees the world after the loop. I enjoy the other perspectives of Neave in the second half, however I feel like it jumps around a bit too much. At the very least it feels like some of the perspectives we are given are interesting, but not all that relevant yet and expect an unreasonable amount of attachment to any other characters beside Neave, his father, and senior sister. Over all a nice xian xian power fantasy with a focus on magic systems that I thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait for the next.
