About this listen
What if surging gun violence, racial tension and distrust of law enforcement was by design? What if the rage and disenchantment of working class Americans was stoked by politicians? What if neighbors were urged to despise neighbors because of their differences? When a national house divided is scripted and staged, the looming future begins to look like an unspeakable past.
Mark Ashton, troubled by the intensity and ignorance of a certain radio talk show host, dials in to the show. Concerned, he investigates further. The deep unrest he exposes shakes him to the core. America is a simmering cauldron. Can he, with his military intelligence background and connections, save America in time by derailing the devastating conspiracy, brewing since the end of WWII?

The embarrassed Author
Would you try another book written by Michael Davies or narrated by James Romick?
As the author of this book, I have to agree with the other review - this was dreadful! A deep southern drawl, reading in a horribly over-melodramatic style made this almost a Mills & Boone horror. The story does actually conform to the description and the book has sold well through regular outlets, but I disliked this version.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Have it read in a more educated, mid-Atlantic accent with zero melodrama.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He destroyed it completely.
